Based on his popular book Rivers of the Dart, this illustrated talk explores the landscapes, history, legends and hidden corners of one of Devon’s most beloved river systems. Along the way Simon will guide audiences up onto the moor to discover the East and West Dart, Cowsic, Blackbrook, Swincombe, Cherrybrook, the East and West Webburn, and the Harbourne, before following the Dart itself down to the estuary.

Blending history, folklore, walking routes, wild swimming spots and personal tales from the riverside, Simon brings these remarkable rivers to life through stories of the people, places and landscapes that have shaped them.

Whether you love Dartmoor, rivers, local history, or wild swimming, this talk offers a rich and entertaining exploration of the River Dart and its hidden tributaries.
