Briana And The Saxon Warrior by Simon Tozer

Briana is a very ordinary girl but extraordinary things are soon to happen to her. She doesn’t know it but she is descended from a long line of Romano-British chieftains and her family have a secret.

A discovery in the attic will lead to adventures of wonder, excitement, sorrow, fun and danger. The story will travel from Prehistoric Devon to Ancient Rome, by way of the inside of a blood vessel and a battle with Permian carnivores.

Briana and her mother Ysabel will meet some great characters and enjoy some amazing experiences. However there are dark secrets and evils to be found too,not least the dark, Saxon warrior, Cutwulf.

If you would like to escape in the pages of the book you read, then Briana and the Saxon Warrior could be just for you….

I loved following Briana’s amazing and sometimes dangerous sorties into a past life . Being a fan of historical fiction I found it both exciting and educational with lots of interesting characters and plots. Simon has cleverly combined historical and scientific fact with a fictional world of danger and intrigue. With plenty of reference to his much loved home county of Devon his passion for local history clearly shines through. I can’t wait to find out what Briana encounters in her next adventure. A great read for young and old alike.

I was up until 2am , I was entralled and could not put this book down! it was brilliant, the research that has gone into it and the character's you chosen, all perfect. I just wanted it to go on and on, more adventures in the book, maybe another book?. Forgot to say the blood ride was amazing and meeting Ceasar and Shakespeare, what an imagination you have, all brilliant!
